Community Tree Giveaway with City of Onkaparinga

On Sunday, 2 July, we partnered with the City of Onkaparinga for their Community Tree Giveaway with One Tree Per Child.

The Arborgreen team had an awesome day out at the City of Onkaparinga Community Tree Giveaway. We spent the afternoon doing our favourite thing – educating people about plants and how they can care for them.

Through this partnership, we gave away close to one thousand trees to residents for their backyard planting. The City of Onkaparinga was the first SA council to run this program, helping to connect their community with nature.

A big thank you to the team for bringing themselves and their families to this fantastic event. We would also like to thank the team from Trees For Life (SA), One Tree Per Child and City of Onkaparinga for helping us distribute so many beautiful trees and shrubs.

The aim of One Tree Per Child is simple – we want to get every child to plant a tree before they leave primary school. This global initiative is backed by grassroots action, especially by local councils choosing to get involved.
